If you see it, do something
If you see someone pushing, grabbing or hitting another person and you think it could be GBV, get help immediately. If people see that this behaviour is wrong, they’ll stop it.
Don’t let people make jokes about abuse
It’s never funny to make jokes about things like rape, violence or abuse in any form. If someone makes a joke about abuse, tell them it’s not okay.
Talk to people about GBV
Don’t think gender-based violence only happens to other people. It could happen to someone you love, so talk to the people you know about GBV.
Don’t send harmful photos or messages
If you see photos or posts on social media that insult or abuse someone, report them. Don’t send them on, and tell other people not to send them to you.
