Stress is the uncomfortable feeling of not coping with the pressures of life. It is often associated with uncertainty and worry about the future. Stress can lead to or be linked to burnout, depression, anxiety and other mental-health problems. There are many approaches to managing stress but a good start is to identify, specifically, what is causing stress, to decide what to do (change), and to then act (make change). This simple-sounding approach emphasises decision and action, which are critical since making no change almost guarantees continued stress. Professional help may be needed for some people with stress.
